This site is intended to be a literary and artistic forum where people with mental illness can express themselves with freedom from stigma through writing, visual art, music, and film. I intend this site to be a centralizing point for people with mental illness to find community among ourselves and also to make connections with the larger world. This site will act as a means for people with mental illness to be educators and pioneers, communicating the experiences of their illness and demonstrating the creative richness of our community. Contributions to this site will not be required to always cover mental illness; rather, all subjects will be open as topics. Every individual should be given some forum in which to express herself, and this is certainly true of people with mental illness, no matter what society sometimes says. By expressing ourselves creatively, we can humanize ourselves and break down both self-stigma and the stigma of society
Dear Meg,
I check your site now and then to see what progress you have made and it looks like you have really taken off with this site. I can’t wait to go home and look through things more. Love, David
